Rec Crew is the team responsible for running most of the behind-the-scenes involved at Summer Camp.

This is includes designing & running team games, running our cafe & merch, prepping for services, running the sound board, ProPresenter, praying for students, & more.

You could call the Rec Crew the PARTY STARTERS.

No, this is a volunteer position. However, if you are selected for Rec Crew, South Texas does cover the cost for meals, room, & board.

There are multiple options for serving on the Rec Crew.

Session 1 | June 5-13 | Kerrville | Youth Camps

Session 2 | June 13-20 | Forest Glen | Youth Camps

Session 3 | June 27 - July 4 | Lake Tomahawk | Youth Camps

Session 4 | July 25-27 | Forest Glen | 5/6 Grade Camp

Ideally, a Rec Crew member would serve the entire Summer, but we know this is not always possible, so we’ve given several options.

Absolutely! If you do a great job this Summer, you can definitely use this experience on your resume & reach out to info@stxym.org for a written letter of recommendation if needed.

All applicants must have been out of High School for one full year & be between 18-25 year old by June 1, 2024.

Exceptions are made on a case-by-case basis.
