Tido Rodriguez has been in ministry for 20+ years in a variety of roles at churches of all sizes. There was even a season when his entire youth group consisted of one 6th grade girl & one 12th grade boy!
Prior to becoming the South Texas Assemblies of God District Youth Directors, Tido and his amazing wife Melissa have had the privilege of serving 8 of those years in a combination of Next Gen pastoral roles at Westover Hills Church in San Antonio (from Student & Young Adults Pastors to Family Pastors). Their heart is to develop lifelong, mature, & compassionate followers of Jesus at all life stages by strategically influencing those who influence kids & students.
Tido & Melissa have 2 incredible daughters, and you should also know… Tido is also an avid Beatles fan and was this close to naming one of his girls “Lennon McCartney”!

Melissa was born and raised in Oklahoma & made the move to Texas following her senior year in High School. She’s been actively involved in volunteer & vocational ministry for 20+ years.
Meeting Jesus as a young adult, Melissa has a heart for this pivotal age group & loves to disciple young ladies.
From 2006-2007, Melissa was a part of the Birmingham Metro Master’s Commission. In the years that followed, she would volunteer in her church administratively to support the local work of the Gospel.
From 2011-2015, Melissa served as the full-time Office Administrator for the South Texas Assemblies of God Youth Ministries. However, in that time, she found a husband (Tido) & had 2 amazing children!
Most recently, Melissa is happy to reprise her former role as South Texas Youth Ministries Office Administrator & new role of wife to the District Youth Director.
In her free time, Mel loves spending time with Jesus, all things home organizing & home renovation!

Jacob was born and raised in South Texas and accomplished the feat of graduating High School at the age of 16. Having grown up attending Dominion Church, their values deeply influenced Him.
Currently, Jacob is also interning for Houston Masters Commission, actively applying his knowledge and experiences in his role. In his free time, he has a great passion for Star Wars, finding inspiration in the saga's storytelling and themes of hope and resilience.
Jacob’s personal journey has cultivated a strong sense of purpose, driving him to make a positive impact on the lives of others. Through his faith, education, and practical experience, he is dedicated to uplifting and inspiring those around him.
